Dr. Darío Castro is a dentist and oral surgeon, registered with the Colegio Oficial de Dentistas de Las Palmas (COELP no. 35000755). He has worked as a dental implant specialist in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for over two decades, focusing on the cases other clinics often turn away: patients with low bone density, severe maxillary or mandibular atrophy, or people whose previous implants have failed.
As an expert in dental implants, much of his career has focused on immediate-loading implantology (fixed teeth on the same day as surgery) and monobloc implants, a technique that solves many complex cases in very few appointments. - 2006–2007 — Multi-system implantology training. Trafford General Hospital, Manchester (UK): surgery and prosthetics with the Straumann, Astra Tech and Ankylos systems, plus guided bone regeneration.
- 2008 — Postgraduate in implant surgery. Centro Nacional de Estomatología, Havana (Cuba): immediate and delayed loading surgery, one-piece and two-piece implants.
- 2009–2010 — Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics. University of Chester (United Kingdom).
- 2010 — Clinical residency in advanced implantology. Universidad de Córdoba (Argentina), with Dr. Nicolás Olmedo: immediate loading, sinus lift and narrow ridge expansion.
- 2012–2014 — Master's in Orthodontics, Damon straight-wire technique, certified by the Damon Institute (USA).
- 2013 — Advanced immediate-loading implantology. With Dr. Silvano Tramonte in Milan (Italy): flapless surgery, teeth-in-a-day and intraoral welding.
